I finally get pictures of my Finch costume up! Well, this past weekend was opening weekend and so some of my friends and I all went as faeries to Renaissance Festival. I... was mobbed by little girls. So cute X3

Anyway, the wings were made by Laura (aka Sprout), who is my lovely faerie godmother. Those wings are so awesome X3

The costume consists of an Elizabethan style corset with steel boning (heavily altered), multi-layered skirt, wings, and moccassins.

Designed, constructed, and modeled by me.

That costume is figgin' sweet! Very pretty. It's ethereal and the colorscheme is properly down to earth. ^^ Your skills>9000

This is an absolutely gorgeous shot. You've chosen colors that go well with your complexion and surroundings.

You look so authentic that you could probably go anywhere in that costume. X3 I mean, wandering around the mall somewhere no one would think, "Ew. Why is that freak dressed like a fairy?", they'd think, "Oh, cool! Autumn is here!"

Those ears look crazy real and the silver hair is a nice touch that doesn't overwhelm the costume. Two thumbs up for you, Miss!

Wow, thank you so much! My hair there is actually reeeally platinum blonde (almost white), but it's hard to see that in the glaring sun. Haha, if I ever wear that to the mall I will so post pictures of it XD That'd be hilarious.

I worked really hard to make this costume really done up, but at the same time beautifully subtle. Mostly, I aimed to reflect aspects of a forest in fall-- brown tree trunks (corset), overlays of red, gold, and orange (skirt), leaves, and golden dappled sunlight (gold glittery things).

Thanks! This was actually taken at the Carolina Ren. Fest. in NC (just opened this weekend). It's one of the last Faires in the country I think, save for a couple special event ones.
