Swordswoman Wrap Shirt by Reine-Haru Swordswoman Wrap Shirt by Reine-Haru
This morning I decided to finally get off my butt and work on my ranger garb some. I used a Victoria's Secret bathrobe for a pattern for this, and it's really comfy. For faire, I'll wear a corset or something over top of it, but it works well with just a belt too. Made of a lightweight black linen, took like an hour to make. And yes, I am wearing shorts under it.

Made and modeled by me

Any chance of you sharing the pattern for this? It's lovely! Far better than any other "swordswoman" type shirt I've been able to find online.

Thanks! It's actually quite handy to have around to stick with random costumes.

The sword is a CAS Hanwei side sword, and it came with the scabbard :)

When do you sleep??? I can never find enough hours in the day....I feel like I spend half the day winding bobbins and changing thread...UGH

That's a very good question. I think I sleep when I take enough melatonin to knock out a small horse XD And yet there's still so much to be done @_@

Thanks! Yeah, it's really comfy (which is so weird for a faire garment). Sadly I can't take my sword with me up to Bristol... ;_;

I don't think the airlines would like me traveling with a fully sharp and functional sword XD

Thanks! Nah, it's not finished yet, I just have the shirt and corset done ^_^; I'm far too lazy to sew my own stuff, though I sew a lot of commissions in nothing flat.

Yeah, I love my Hanwei Side Sword <3

Welcome! And that's further than my Otakon cosplaying outfit so good for you XD I can't find anything really cool to go as. And you take commissions? So you are a big business lady, rollin in zillions of dollars a day?

I have ceremonial chinese swords...but they are dulled for some reason XD So now I'm just stuck with my advanced martial arts training!

Haha, no, I wish. But yes, I take commissions, so if you'd like me to make a costume for you, I'd be happy to.

My side sword is fully sharpened and functional, though I don't use it for anything but looking cool and taking down the occasional milk jug filled with water.

And the lightsaber fights with all the zombie jedi. You know it's gonna happen!

Well a commission sounds nice, whenever I do the 2 steps to doing that I'll let you know!

Oh, the 2 steps are 1.) Set up a paypal and 2.) get money for said paypal...:( I'm not a gazillionare like I should be!

Alright. If you can give me an idea of what you want, I can give you a price estimate. Keep in mind that as far as men's clothing goes, I mostly only do Renaissance/fantasy and Victorian/steampunk style garb.
