More shots of my new elven costume for Dragon*Con, etc.

The costume consists of:
-Tunic made of Dupani silk and lined with Italian linen (heavily embroidered)
-Victorian hourglass corset in black faux suede lined with the same Dupani silk as the tunic
-Skirt that I made this morning in 2 hrs. out of cloth scraps from my faerie godmother XD

This is the more warrior look for Vai, but I don't have all the accessories yet (still need bracers, sword, etc.). I'll also be making an elven princess gown this spring :)

I'll be at Dragon*Con 2009 as Vaitalif, so if you see me, be sure to say hi!

I made the bottle hanger (it's quite easy, I'm planning to do a tutorial of it eventually) and came up with the costume concept after many hours of sketching : )

this is gorgeous! How do I go about creating a type of Elven persona for myself? And how do I name it and decide what or where she is from?? Like Loch Thallen or something? :)

Well, my best advice is to start sketching. Loch Thallen was actually the creation of an old ex of mine (I was dating him at the time I made this), but just start imagining stories, and the rest will come :)

You make the best costumes! And if I had the money I would seriously consider commissioning something from you.

I love medieval/fairy type things, and have a good deal of OCs based in that timeline, and it would be interesting to see what you would do with them, but ah, maybe one day.

You can really pull off these type of things as well, and I hope someday I see you at Dragon*Con so I can say hi~ :)

I sell the flasks, and what I tell people is that I don't drink alcohol, so I just keep water or tea in there :) Though most people like to keep the Captain or Baileys or a nice malt in there.

yeahhh... the only thing I have ever kept in mine was apple cider, and that didn't go over very well.
